Diversity & Inclusion work is full of opposites which sometime border on hypocrisy:

  • “Inclusion” means that some people are excluded. There is no room for anyone who wants to engage in phobias or –isms of any kind. 
  • “Bring your whole self to work” is an impossible goal. No one does this, no matter who they are. 
  • Calling some people, “diverse” implies others aren’t, which simply isn’t true. 

And on and on.... Is it any wonder people suffer from diversity fatigue?

After 20 years of working in the D&I field, I want to reveal some tough love—and a new approach to the work.
